Tika Tequila uses many different materials in fabricating each individual piece. Mammoth ivory, fossilized dinosaur bones, coral, sugalite, charoite, pietersite, drusy, opals, an assortment of agates and jasper... the list goes on! What we are most proud of is the fine selection of turquoise and lapis that is utilized. The above photo is a small sampling of the quality stones I have on hand.
A. Fox Turquoise from Crescent Valley, Nevada. Rich greens, blue-greens and blues. A personal favorite of mine. Mr. Ward was instrumental in getting me started in lapidary in the '70's! I am ecstatic the mine has reopened and forever grateful to the Mason family for the opportunity to view and work the site!
B. Lapis Lazuli from Chile. Offers a lighter shade similar to faded jeans!
C. Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. Fatally attracted to deep blues! Enjoy it's richness and intensity with or without the pyrite... Fun to work with silver or gold!
D. # 8 Turquoise from Eureka County, Nevada. From pale blue to dark blues with golden brown or black matrix! Highly collectible as it is no longer mined.
